Why was the CGAG set up and what are its aims?

  • To track any planning applications for development on lots 48 and 49

  • To gather evidence to counter future planning applications.

  • To prepare to counter plot division by preparing to invoke Article 4, removing development rights for plot division.

  • To communicate: notice boards, letters, pamphlets, and exhibition boards at library.

  • To seek written assurance from authorities on security of green belt.

  • To investigate possibility of re-purchase of lot 48 from developer

  • To question legality of sale by Croydon Council and their behaviour over sale of land and the potential conflict of interest.

  • To campaign to raise funds to meet the shortfall of possible purchase of lot 49 by Corp of London.
